Suprasafe
FAQ |
|
| |
| What
are Supra keysafes? |
| •
Supra keysafes are high security keysafes used to store
building access keys for fire department use. These
keysafes are purchased by the building owner. |
| |
| How
does it work? |
•
Your fire department is issued the requested number of
keys that are coded specifically for your city/town.
• When you respond to an emergency
condition, you simply use your Supra master key to open
the keysafe and gain access to the building keys stored
within the keysafe. |
| |
| How
will our department benefit from this? |
•
Quick access to building keys helping save lives and property.
• Eliminates the need to carry
individual keys for every property in your community.
• Eliminates the need to forcibly
gain access to a building saving property damage especially
in a false alarm situation. |
| |
| How
do we start? |
•
Simply fill out this registration
form and return it to us. We will then send you a
supply of order forms. Upon request, we can provide
you with a sample keysafe.
• Many communities have passed
ordinances requiring these keysafes to be installed.
Others provide the system on a voluntary basis. |
| |
| What
is the cost to the fire department? |
| •
There is no cost to the fire department. Order forms
and keys are provided at no charge. |
| |
| How
does a building owner purchase a Supra Keysafe? |
| •
The building owner obtains an order form from the fire
department signed by an authorized representative from
the fire department. The owner then completes the
form and returns it to us with the payment for the order
enclosed. The keysafe is then shipped to the address
indicated on the order form. The unit is shipped
in the unlocked position so that the owner may install
the keysafe at a location specified by you. The
unit is then locked by the fire department securing access
keys within the keysafe. |
| |
| Who
will have access to the master keys? |
| •
Only the fire department and Supra Products have access
to the master key. |
| |
| How
secure are the Supra keysafes? |
| •
The SupraSafe #2 is UL listed for security. An optional
tamper switch is available to provide additional security
by connecting to the building’s security system.
